Monday 9 September (12pm – 2pm)
Our Community Food team will demonstrate how to make a chunky super green soup with barley, oats and garlic and herb croutons. This delicious soup is packed full of nutrients and showcases the super grains that grow here in the UK.
We will also be joined by inspirational guest speakers Jack and Gemma, owners of the mobile zero waste shop, Incredible Bulk. Learn how and why the couple created the business and the importance of reducing our plastic waste.
Rachael Bice from Cornwall Council will also be discussing the importance of protecting the environment and celebrating our relationship with nature.
This workshop is free to attend, please follow the link below to reserve your place.
As part of the Cool Food project, we will be running additional Cool Food workshops throughout September.
Each event will include an inspiring talk from a guest speaker on ways in which people can make a difference to the environment through their diet.
The Cool Food campaign aims to help at least 1,300 households in the UK and France to make a 20% reduction in their carbon emissions over the course of two years. This could save a massive 153 tonnes of CO2 emissions, which is the amount of carbon it would take to drive to the moon and back.
By making small changes to our diets, we can make a big impact. Make a Cool Food Commitment today and see how you could not only help the planet but your wallet too!
